Just breathe

Your breath has been with you since you were born and will be there to hold you at the last. It has seen you through the most joyful and the most painful parts of your journey and is an amazing source of comfort and resilience. It is always present – never in the past remembering or regretting, or in the future prophesying and worrying. Tune in to the gentle rise and fall and let the breath carry you. Often in counselling I just encourage clients to stay with the breath as they explore a sensation or emotion as it appears in the body. It’s such a wonderful way of connecting to the truth of the moment and letting it speak for itself….
